How to Remove the Ticks

If your pet has a tick, there are a few steps that you need to take to both take care of your pet and remove the ticks and eggs from your home. You should understand that ticks are a serious problem and need to be taken care of as quickly as possible.

Ticks are small insects that latch on to an animal or person’s skin and suck their blood. As the ticks continue to suck the blood from your pet, their bodies will swell and become larger until they are ready to hatch the eggs on the surface. The ticks will use the fur of the animal to lay the eggs which can eventually hatch and latch on to someone else.

Ticks can be one of the hardest insects to get rid of because the eggs bury themselves in your clothing, furniture, and bed sheets until they are ready to hatch and latch on to an animal or person. Once they have hatched, they will latch on to the first blood-filled person or thing that comes by, and the cycle will continue.

The first thing that you need to take care of is to get the tick off of the dog or cat that it is attached to. This may be a complicated process because you have to physically pull the tick from your pet. Once the tick is dead, you will just need to make sure that everything has been cleaned. You should take time to wash all your clothing, bed sheets, and furniture to make sure that you kill all the eggs that might be waiting to hatch on them.
